  • Lazy Bum

Yes... I've been such a lazy bum these past few days. I want nothing but just lying on my bed. But I can't do that. I need to get up and get going. Being a lazy bum won't get you anywhere.

I should get up soon and start doing what I've been planning all week : visit friends, finish up the project paper, make some enquiries.

    Maybe later. Ho-hum

  • About Me

Smile or laughter makes me special.

Life is too short, As we grow up many challenges and unexpected things we encounter. Smile is really a god's gift because if we smile to people, It is really something gives them appreciation.

    I'm a Filipino-German, a Student and Model.
I really love the concept of Benetton, it really talks about culture and makes every individual beautiful regardless of race, gender and profession :)

Many say globalization has many disadvantages because of the exploitation of proletariats (the poor countries) by bourgeoisie (rich countries) but through Benetton it makes every people united and confident regardless of their status :)

I'm into music, languages, cullture, fashion, modelling, soccer, rugby, fitness, history, travelling and diplomacy.

  • Whine and Cheese

Sometimes I feel like what I have to say holds no weight at all with other people. As if I'm talking to a brick wall or you know someone who doesn't care what I'm saying at all. I feel almost like I'm unappreciated sometimes. It's not that I feel like I'm so great and everyone hates me for it or something egotistical like that. More along the lines of trying to be helpful and I end up being white noise in their ears.

I try to be nice too, and most of the time people are nice back. It's hard when that other person isn't so nice or doesn't value what you did for them. Then it almost makes it harder to be nice to that person. I don't really know what I'm talking about. Well actually I kind of do. Sorta.

Basically, I don't like being walked all over, and I'm not going to put up with it. I can be just as rude and impolite and mean as everyone else if not more so. Eh, whatever. I'll just try to not let it get to me as much and irritate me.

  • My Valentine

Had the best valentine's day/ 33rd monthsary celebration in my honey's room. A table with a strawberry candle in the middle, two plates and with a letter for me underneath one, a romantic song as a background with pizza pasta and chocolate. To top it all off a rose on the bed, simple but full of love. I love you, sweetheart.

    Rewe

Never understand what motivate others to troll upon people and asking others to shut down their websites. It's crazy. I don't care for online drama, for all I know is most people aren't being themselves in any social network.

Feeling rather unwell lately. Uninspired, moody and...well...sad. I hope this feeling will get over soon.

A few days ago, I watched the Korean horror movie "Ju-on". In the beginning there was something weird, I just couldn't say what it was. Then my friend directed my attention to the actress' shirt.

Well, actually it should be REWE, which is a supermarket chain in Germany and part of the Cologne-based REWE Group

  • What is the most reckless thing you have ever done?

I can't say I'm a reckless guy, because I am careful, but I am a risk taker and I can be daring. One of my most daring stunts that I have ever done was joining a teenaged modeling contest in my mother's country of the Philippines (I'm half German half Filipino). I got into the finals, didn't win the title but I was one of the runner ups. The experience and exposure boosted my career and now I'm doing tv commercials and magazine ads. I hope to get into acting someday, but I'm enjoying my career as a model.

I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!

  • Dorno Or Abnormo?

Today I finally gave my presentation on Theodor Adorno's "Kulturkritik und gesellschaft". It was the second presentation I gave without knowing what I was talking about (the first one was on structuralism). Jenster then told us that we should quote a sentence from this text next time we go out to have a drink with our friends to start a great conversation.

    So here it is:
Der kulturkritiker nährt sich von der mythischen verstocktheit der kultur.

Moreover he told us to change "kulturkritiker" into "autonome bürgerliche subjekte" or something like this...

can't wait to have a go at this^^

  • Your Mermaid Song

We meet again one dreamy night
Of emerald green on midnight's shore
Warm waves reflected in the light
    Of silver moon forevermore.

I listen to your soaring voice
That echoes cross the sapphire waves
And causes my heart to rejoice
For music of the sea, it craves.

In this Aegean dream, we play
This magic beach of windswept sand
In pale moonlight, we've lost our way
Here where the ocean meets the land.

    Sweetheart, your poet ways
Through endless dunes, you lead me on
Way past the rocks, lost in a daze
    Enraptured by your mermaid song.

  • I Said Hello Satan

Last night I dreamt I met the devil. He lives in the upper floor of an art gallery, inside a gold-framed portrait. I walked through the halls with a pair of special glasses that allowed me to see grotesque wax angels manifest themselves around corners, mouths twisted open with these wide horrible eyes. The portrait had him seated behind a large oak desk with the sunlight streaming in.

I entered the portrait and he met with me. He had wide shoulders and locks of strawberry-blond hair. I told him I wasn't going to sign anything and he said that was okay. We chatted for a little while about nothing of great significance.

  • Everybody's Favorite Warlords

I find it fascinating that some of our biggest heroes could have been at the time of their existance, and if they had been alive and doing their 'thing' today, the biggest tyrants ever, I mean of course my two favorites, Alexander the Great and Ghengis Khan.

Now, I admire these guys, but isn't it strange how we have no problem with the widespread takeovers and destruction these two guys caused? We admire them, we love them, we study them in history because they through their own will and leadership lead their armies and somehow took over more land than any others in history. I think it would be a much different world if we considered every army that ever invaded another as the tyrants, and the defenders that lost as the good guys.

But we don't, we don't cheer for the losers. We don't even remember their names.
Name several Chinese districts that Ghengis took over.

Or name a few nations other than Greece and Persia that Alexander decimated (Egypt doesn't count either).

In a way, we are addicted to winners, no matter how bad they are sometimes.
Do you consider Alexander the Great or Ghengis as bad or good guys, and if so, why?

  • Bourbon

I love bourbon whiskey, but I'm afraid that it's quickly becoming a "flavour trend," with the release of bourbon-flavoured fake-foods recently, including the Bourbon Whopper (a regular hamburger with onion rings that they slather with a super-scientist-engineered "bourbon sauce") which my hotmail experience has alerted me to.

Sometimes I wonder if the man does these things to us deliberately... by ruining my favourite things he forces me to try new things, ensuring there's enough consumption to go around for all the various companies. But then I realize that this isn't a secret conspiracy, but rather the explicit state of affairs under our system. The constant barrage of mind-fuck advertising prevents me from ever really knowing what I like. Since in order to keep the machine going I must be constantly flocking from one new product to another I'm never able to settle certain points of my identity, nor do we allow our financial markets to stabilize.
